Why Do a boudoir photo shoot

Greater Toronto Boudoir Photo Studio

So lately I've been hearing mixed messages about this body positive movement.

I've heard you can't call yourself body positive and be on a diet or trying to lose weight.

I've heard wanting to change your body means you aren't body positive and I've also heard from people that they don't think they will ever feel positively about their bodies.

This all makes me very sad.

I don't think this movement began with the idea of trying to govern others bodies and I don't think the originators of this movement had any ill intent but sometimes things go a rye.

So for myself and Babesclub Boudoir I want to offer something different. I want to offer you, freedom. Freedom to choose to be who and what you want to be at any given time. I want for you to love yourself, not just your physical body but you're whole self spirit included. I want you to honour your body and how you do it is your choice because guess what it's your body.

If you want to lose weight, gain weight, grow your hair, cut it short, wear pants wear dresses, get a nose job, boob job, piercing, tattoo- do it. You should do what makes your soul content.

When I speak on positivity, I'm talking about defining what is good for you and celebrating all the amazing things your body does for you everyday so that you don't hate your body. I think we can all agree that self hate is a bad thing.

I want you to live by your own standards and not just accept what someone else defines as good, especially when you don't fit into their  definition. I want for you to discover for yourself, all your likes and dislikes, what matters to you and what doesn't, who you want to be right now in this moment.

Life is a journey and we are constantly evolving, who you were yesterday doesn't define who you can be today or tomorrow. I don't care if it's called the body positive movement, self love movement, body freedom movement. Call it what you will. For me it's about choice and self agency.
