Why Should I have a Boudoir Session

A while ago I was at a family barbeque and someone asked me what I do.  When I told her I am a boudoir photographer, she said “Oh that’s getting really mainstream now! Women are loving themselves these days!”

It’s true boudoir and intimate portraiture has become very popular.  More women are daring to go bare and I’m totally 100% here for it!

Everyone has their reasons for wanting to do a boudoir session.  Some want to give it as a gift to their significant other, and while that’s great I would love to offer you some reasons to do it for YOU!

It’s about time you celebrate yourself.  You have been putting everyone and everything before yourself and now it’s your turn.

Maybe you are having a milestone birthday this year; turning 30, 40 50, 60!  

You could be acknowledging a new lifestyle of self care or a recent change or transition in your life

Maybe you’re newly single and want to celebrate and see yourself differently

You are at a time in your life where things are falling into place, you are more comfortable with who you are and you want to honour that.

You want to feel empowered and confident. You are at a point where you’ve decided to love yourself or fall back in love with yourself.  You have decided to accept your body and all it is.

You want to see that you are beautiful and sexy and badass and worthy and I can show you that!

Honestly, you don’t need anyone’s permission or an excuse to do it.  It doesn’t have to be a gift to your partner to validate or justify having a boudoir session.  It doesn’t have to be a gift to yourself because you’ve done really well on your diet and lost a bunch of weight.  You can do it for no other reason than because YOU WANT TO. No explanations needed!
